Sorry about the whole Akin thing. It's really messed up your 'They're all the same' argument.

The Democrats are almost as outraged as the Republicans are about Akin.

The Democrats even funded Akin’s campaign. They are always defending the Republican positions in legislation.

They’re too much the same for me.

Now if the Democrats did more than try to make political hay out of the Akin thing, like trying to pass a law that there had to be a local single payer full service health care clinic reachable by even the poorest of women, then I would agree with the above comment.

Lip service is cheap and available from both R's and D's.

Anon:

Actually in the current climate, wealthy women can easily maintain reproductive health and freedom, and the rest of us are essentially left to twist in the wind. Or live in fear of the law, which wealthy women and their families can flout with impunity regardless of what laws are on the book-- as indeed, the rich have always done.

So, yes, at the end of the day if Akin had a female relative who wanted an affordable abortion, she could get one safely and stay out of jail. As could a female relative of Obama's. They are rich and powerful. They rig the system to protect their wealth and power, and the rest of us are expected to thank them for any tiny idealogical crumb they throw our way. (And pay them for it, of course.)

So, yes, at the end of the day they are alike. Obama feigns compassion, but at the end of the day he still treats us as breeding animals in need of being controlled by men.

It would appear that this is the same troll who kept repeating this nonsense on Twitter until I blocked him/her, after I tired of repeating my answer:

* I don't think the parties are identical, but I do think they are way too similar, both fundamentally conservative, and not good for the average American citizen

* That the Dems had to invest $1.5M to get Akin on the ticket makes using him as a metric of the difference between the parties rather dubious.

If this troll keeps spamming this inane "argument" here, I will delete subsequent postings.

On the plus side, that $1.5M was money they didn't spend harassing Greens off the ballot, while their apologists in Blogland simultaneously shouted that Greens are all secretly in cahoots with the GOP.

I suppose we should try and look on the bright side. :p

Good to know you demand transparency from your government, but won't allow alternate points of view on your echo chamber of a blog. If anyone who disagreed with you labeled you as a 'troll,' you would consider it the ultimate offense. Does it ever bother you that you're a shameless hypocrite? Don't bother answering because I know you're too cowardly to do so.

Someone who obnoxiously keeps reposting the same taunting, erroneous digs is a troll. If you think that's the same thing as presenting a reasoned argument, you're also an idiot.
